The Lieutenant Governor observed that the celebration of ‘Sewa Parv’ should reflect commitment towards Viksit Bharat and Viksit Jammu Kashmir. Our focus must be on outcome and not on symbolic activities. Senior officials must act as role models and lead the effort. Each Department must ensure that the activities are aligned with development priorities, he said. The Lieutenant Governor directed the departments to identify gaps in coverage of flagship schemes and dedicated efforts should be made to achieve the saturation. He directed the departments to set realistic targets for their respective identified activities and monitor them through the digital portal. We must educate students about civic responsibilities and key national and social issues through platforms like Youth Parliament. He also directed for organising debate and essay writing competitions on Mahatma Gandhi. He observed that Sewa Parv’s guiding principles are public service, community participation and inclusive governance to ensure meaningful impact on communities. Sewa Parv’s prime objective is to ensure that every voice is heard and every segment of society benefits from development initiatives.
